Statement of Faith
We believe: (1) The Bible to be the only inspired Word of God - 2Tim 3:16-17 . (2) There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit - Mt 28:19; Mk 12:29. (3) In the Deity of Jesus Christ, His eternal preexistence, virgin birth, humanity, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, miracles, ascension into Heaven, and His abiding intercession for the Church – Jn 20:28; Lk 1:27; Heb 4:15; Jn 20:30-31; Col 2:13-14; Jn 20:27; Ac 1:9 . (4) Salvation is through the blood of Jesus Christ and only by grace through faith in His finished work – Ac 20:21; Ro 5:9; Eph 2:8-10 . (5) The redemptive work of Christ on the cross also provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer – Jas 5:14-15 . (6) In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life – 1Th 5:23; 2Th 2:13. (7) In the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as a separate and subsequent experience to salvation, given to those who ask for it – Ac 2:4; Lk 11:13. (8) In the present day operation of the gifts of the Spirit – 1Co 12:-14 . (9) In the personal return of Christ in power and glory. His return will be visible, literal, bodily, and is imminent – 1Th 4:13-18 . (10) In the catching up of the Church at Christ’s return and in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost – the saved to eternal life and the lost to eternal punishment/death – Ac 24:15; Jn 5:28-29 . (11) The Church is an assembly of true believers that is universal, yet local in expression. Our threefold purpose is: Worship, Edification of believers, and Evangelization of the world – Mt 28:16-20; Eph 4:11-16 . (12) In and practice two ordinances – Water Baptism (by immersion after salvation) – Ac 8:36-38; 10:44-48 and Communion (which is commemorative and symbolic of Christ’s broken body and shed blood) – 1Co 11:23-32
In 2014 Brian & his wife Kim began being
mentoring under Pastor Gordy Wells and his wife Sue.
In February 2016 Pastor Brian was added
to the staff as the Assistant Pastor.
In February of 2018 at the annual business meeting
it was proposed that Pastor Brian & Pastor Gordy
switch postions. Gordy would become
the Assistant Pastor while Brian would became
the Senior Pastor.
The votes were cast and the church adopted the proposal.
Since then Pastor Gordy has moved on to help with another church.
